Supplemental Report
(from Befehlshaber der Unterseeboote & Abwehr intelligence reports)
Previous communication on April 12th reported a Vickers Wellington ASW airplane operating to the north of Scotland that the U-159 had avoided.
The last transmission from the U-159 was on the afternoon of April 16th when it acknowledged orders to intercept a convoy to the east of Scotland coming in from the Atlantic. Subsequent intelligence received indicates the above listed tanker was sunk and a freighter was heavily damaged. It is understood that HMS Caspian, which was escorting the convoy, detected a submarine and carried out several attacks using special ASW weaponry codenamed "Hedgehog". Its third attack succeeded in hitting and sinking its target. Oil, wreckage and other debris was subsequently observed.
As U-159 did not respond to any attacks since, we can only assume the destroyer's victim was the Tümmler. There were no survivors.
[OOC - The U-159 was attacked three times with Hedgehog - odds of 216-1. I guess my luck finally ran out]
