I don't have a ton of time, but I was asked about re-starting the 15th Flotilla. If we do i will have to make changes to the way things were done for time sake. Would there be enough interest for me to re-start the 15th? and if we do what can we change to make it easier on time management?

I would consider the 15th if there was a restart. I would recommend there be more play-by-email capability. I find forums overly cumbersome. I would also advocate for more interaction among players and that we actually hunt as a wolfpack rather than simply reporting at the end of the week. If there were two players per Uboat and three Uboats in a pack, there could be involvement during the week. In terms of management, I would recommend an Excel workbook to handle a lot of the math and even use a pre-defined random number list so that we are all on the same page.

I'm OK with placing more of the administrative burden on the players. One of the aspects I enjoyed were the scenarios dealing with time in port. In several cases, I coordinated the activity with other players with us passing the scenario back and forth. I'm not sure how well several players/boat would work, especially that my impression is that many of the players have limited time as it is to resolve a mission solo without worrying about coordinating each die roll with someone else, but I suppose if someone wanted to try there's no reason they couldn't. I've always been a fan of the role-playing aspects of any simulation.

What I did, and would do again, is the majority of the forum is for extra material, or role play. At the start of every patrol, I would e-mail everyone with patrol assignments. Then the result would be posted in the forum by each player, which I would e-mail that link with the patrol briefing.
