Notes: Zackenbarsch sailed from Penang on February 13th of 1945 to begin what would be her final patrol.
Only ten days into the journey, she struck a mine and was severely damaged.
With both diesels inoperable, Kommandant was forced to scuttle the boat.
The radio, along with most of the boat's electronics, was destroyed by the mine's blast so it isn't quite clear when the crew abandoned, but it has been assumed that all members perished at sea while waiting to be recued.

March 3, 1945, Gentleman, from my quick glances at the reports it has been a bad month; sinking 5,300 tons of shipping and 1 hull and the loss of the U-200 Zackenbarsch. The first round tonight is on me. The second round will be supplied by the Ghul U-847. Then we will have a drink for the crew of the Zackenbarsch.
